Our Guest Speaker, Lanna from One Small Step Business Coaching was AMAZING and wowed us all with her brilliant strategy for nailing your biz elevator pitch! I learned so much from Lanna, here are my top takeaway gems:
- YOU are not your target market:
- Just because YOU love something, doesn’t mean YOUR CUSTOMERS will.
- Do your market research and be a winner.
- Develop your core values:
- The values that underpin One Small Step are HONESTY, INTEGRITY, PASSION and EDUCATION.
- The Fusion Ladies values are: COLLABORATION, GROWTH, CONNECTION and CELEBRATION.
- Develop your biz values and they will be the driver for all your decisions.
One of the highlights was the #GirlBoss Spotlight Preso where we got to see everyone’s biz up on the big screen, complete with none other than Queen Bey’s “Run the World” blasting the room!

The video was a great idea and so often you go to these type of events and never know who is in the room and it was quite different from the usual idea of asking people to stand up and do their own intro.
I also liked the concept of having a workshop directly after breakfast that way the participants are already well fed and stimulated by the guest speaker to get right into the nitty gritty of their own business goals.
